In June 2020, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPS) Board voted to “increase” the property tax millage rate to 18.881 mills. The word “increase” is in quotations for an important reason, it is the same millage rate as it was in 2019. So, did your property taxes increase in Savannah?
Well, it depends on the value of your house. If the assessed value of your property went up, then your taxes would also go up. If the assessed value of your property went down, then your property taxes would go down.
